We’re looking for your short story entries between 1500 and 3000 words. Winners will be included in an anthology published by Illuminations Books, entitled Illuminations: Inspirations for the Soul. In addition to a free copy of the book, the first prize winner will receive $500.00, the second prize winner will receive $75.00 and the third prize winner will receive $50.00. All writers who enter will receive a free one year membership to the Spiritual Writer’s Association -- the association for all writers who write from a spiritual point of view.

Send us your original, unpublished work by June 1st. Winners will be announced July 15th. All stories should be inspirational in nature. We are looking for stories that describe that perfect “aha” moment. You know that moment, when everything suddenly becomes clear and you just get it, whatever “it” is. No horror or erotica will be considered, all other genres are welcome. Make sure you are sending your best work. We recommend you have others read your work to make sure it is polished and ready for consideration.

Include your name and contact information on a cover page attached to your entry. Do not place your name on any other page. All entries will be assigned numbers so that judges are unaware of the author’s name. Include a $20.00 reading fee with each entry.
